2009 Stichting S.A.L. (Mongui) Maduro

In het landhuis Rooi Catootje is de bibliotheek ondergebracht van SAL Maduro. Dit familiehuis herbergt naast deze bijzondere bibliotheek Antilliaanse en joodse literatuur ook veel bijzondere meubels en het familieverhaal van de Maduro’s. Ena Dankmeijer Maduro president van de stichting gaf mij in 2009 de opdracht om twee belangrijke 19^e eeuwse familieportretten te restaureren. Het zijn SEL Maduro en zijn vrouw Rebecca Curiel.

Mansion Rooi Catootje stores one of the most rare libraries of the World. It is a Antillean and Jewish collection of books and articles. In the house beautiful Caribbean furniture of the family Maduro can be admired. Among these are two 19^th century portraits of the famous SEL Maduro and his wife Rebecca Curiel.
