Before I left Curacao, Anna Oltheten her husband Carl and I had a delicious meal.
Along the way fishermen sold freshly caught fish from that morning. Anna chose a nice fish and on the way home bought onion and tomato at the Chinese Toko. She cooked a terrific Anna-like meal. It was the best farewell of the island I could get.

Voordat ik Curaçao verliet kreeg ik van Anna Oltheten en Carl een heerlijk maal.

Langs de weg verkochten vissers vers gevangen vis direct vanuit de pick-up. Anna zocht een mooi visje uit, haalde er bij de Chinese Toko ui en tomaat bij, en kookte een Anna-maal. Een mooier afscheid van het eiland had ik niet kunnen krijgen.
